Welcome

The Community Assistance Trust was established in Botswana in 2004 as a non profit organization. The trust was formed in conjunction with the Sedibana Hospital and Children's Fund of the USA. The main objective of the organization is to implement and ensure that identified projects are carried out. This will be achieved by receiving donations in various forms and ensuring that these donations are applied for the purpose they are intended. Our background page will provide details for these needs.

Certain projects have already been identified and these will be explained in detail in our Projects page. The purpose of this site is to keep donors informed of the progress of these projects by means of posting photographs and providing written explanations of work that has been done. We hope that this will provide donors and prospective donors with the confidence that their donations are being used effectively and that they are reaching the people that they are meant to assist.

We also envisage that this site can be used at a later stage as a platform where these remote villages can have contact with the outside world and also be exposed to information technology. This can then also assist with much needed education and development.
